The
Rembrandt Hotel
We
have been meeting every week in the Rembrandt Hotel since
January 2008 but on thursday, the 29July 2010 the hotel
changed hands. I was told at the end of our meeting on
the 4th of August that the new management were no longer
willing to let us use the upstairs bar for our meetings
and that next wednesday the 11th of August would have
to be our last at this venue. We were very sorry to have
to leave, as it is ideal for our purposes, but we have
to move on and have now arranged to meet in..............................................

A
group has been meeting as part of the Northern Concord
in the Rembrandt and various venues around the Manchester
Village since 1986. In January 2008 we moved back into
the Rembrandt from our last venue which was the Hollywood
Showbar.
Since then as part of the process of moving forward into
the 21st century we have decided to take full control
of our own affairs by creating a club now called Manchester
Concord which will look after its own finances, membership
list and website as well as continuing the tradition of
hosting a venue for transgendered people and their partners
every week throughout the year.
It
is not our intention to break our links completely with
Northern Concord and we hope that the excellent Crosstalk
Magazine and events such as Bollington will continue.
To this end all members of Northern Concord are still
just as welcome at Manchester Concord.
The
primary purposes of this group are:-
1.
To provide a reliable friendly place where newcomers to
the transgendered scene can come and meet other like minded
people in what is undoubtedly the most tranny-friendly
location in the country. It is just the place for people
who like crossdressing.
2.
To provide a convivial place where old and new members
can come as often or rarely as they please to meet and
talk with their friends.
3.
To get together with friends from the club from time to
time at other venues, such as restaurants and shows.
4.
To support any other relevant transgender functions or
groups.
5.
To have fun
